Job Description

Product Design

• Assist in the creation of designs for new product with demographics, price and marketing in mind.
• Generate Product designs using Illustrator and CAD Based design software.
• Assist in sourcing new product ideas, materials and technology for the manufacture and design of new products.

Test Marketing

• Assist the Sales Department to test new products in the marketplace including attending tradeshows and visiting customers retail locations.
• Work with Customers and Sales Reps for input and feedback on new product design concepts.

Quality Control

• Assist in identifying defective manufacturing and make recommendations for adjusting the defect.
• Modify existing designs that fail to meet Quality Control or Production Standards

Qualification/Required Skills

• Education: We are looking for a designer who has a Bachelors Degree in an art or design-related field, also a plus for any candidate with a degree or accreditation in a Jewelry-related field.
• Computer skills: The jewelry designer needs to possess a good working knowledge of graphic design programs including Illustrator. It is a plus for any candidate with experience in CAD based design programs such as ArtCAM and or Rhino and Matrix. The designer should possess a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word and especially Excel.
• English Proficiency: Business Conversational Level (TOEIC 735-860)
• Japanese Proficiency: Native Level
